Complete keyboard shortcut reference for the Codex Multi-Auth interactive dashboard

The interactive dashboard provides keyboard shortcuts for efficient navigation and account management.

Main Dashboard

The main dashboard displays your account list with health status, quota information, and quick actions.

Key	Action	Description
Up / Down	Move selection	Navigate through accounts and menu options
Enter	Select/open	Select the highlighted account or action
1-9	Quick switch	Instantly switch to visible account by number
/	Search accounts	Filter accounts by email, label, or ID
?	Toggle help	Show or hide detailed help information
Q	Back/cancel	Return to previous screen or exit dashboard

Quick Switch Behavior

Number keys (1-9) provide instant account switching:

• Works with visible accounts in the current view
• If smart sort is enabled, numbers follow the sorted order
• When searching, numbers apply to filtered results only
• Duplicate numbers are disabled to prevent ambiguity

Search Mode

Press / to enter search mode:

1. Enter search text (case-insensitive)
2. Matching accounts appear in the filtered list
3. Press / again to modify the search
4. Enter blank text to clear the search filter

Account Details

When viewing a specific account, these shortcuts are available:

S	Set current account	Make this account the active account for Codex
R	Refresh/re-login	Re-authenticate this account (requires confirmation)
E	Enable/disable	Toggle account enabled state
D	Delete account	Remove account from storage (requires confirmation)
Q	Back	Return to main dashboard

Account Detail View

The account detail screen shows:

• Account email and status badges
• Added date and last used timestamp
• Current enabled/disabled state
• Available actions with hotkey hints

Settings Screens

Settings screens support the following keyboard shortcuts:

Enter	Toggle/select/open	Activate the highlighted setting or option
1-9	Quick toggle	Toggle numbered options directly
S	Save	Save changes and return to previous screen
R	Reset	Reset current settings panel to defaults
Q	Back/cancel	Exit without saving draft changes
[ / ]	Reorder fields	Move focused field up or down in summary settings
+ / -	Adjust value	Increment or decrement numeric backend settings

Settings Navigation

The settings hub includes multiple configuration panels:

• Account List Display: Configure badges, layout, sorting
• Summary Fields: Choose and order statusline fields
• Behavior: Set auto-return delay, fetch settings
• Theme: Select color palette and accent colors
• Backend: Advanced rotation, quota, and timeout settings

Theme Live Preview

When changing theme settings:

• Preview updates immediately as you navigate
• Press Q to cancel and restore the original theme
• Press S to save and apply the new theme

Navigation Patterns

Breadcrumb Navigation

Main Dashboard → Account Details → Q (back to Main)
Main Dashboard → Settings → Account List → Q (back to Settings) → Q (back to Main)

Confirmation Prompts

Destructive actions require confirmation:

• Delete account (D): Confirms before removal
• Refresh account (R): Confirms before re-authentication
• Delete all accounts: Confirms before bulk deletion

Press Y or Enter to confirm, or N or Q to cancel.

Visual Indicators

Focus Styles

Two focus styles are available (configurable in settings):

• Row Invert: Full row highlight (default)
• Chip: Small badge highlight for compact displays

Status Badges

Color-coded badges indicate account state:

• Green: [active], [ok] - Account is healthy
• Yellow: [rate-limited], [cooldown] - Temporary restrictions
• Red: [flagged], [disabled], [error] - Requires attention
• Cyan: [current] - Active account in Codex

Quota Bars

Visual quota indicators show remaining capacity:

• Green: 36-100% remaining
• Yellow: 16-35% remaining
• Red: 0-15% remaining

Tips

• Use ? to toggle between compact and detailed help
• Number keys provide the fastest way to switch accounts
• Press Q at any time to safely exit without changes
• Theme changes preview live but aren’t saved until you press S
• Search is fuzzy and matches email, label, account ID, and number
